This exciting new degree, developed in partnership and delivered by our sister institution Torrens University Australia is designed to equip graduates with a range of careers in Aesthetics.

The Bachelor of Health Science (Aesthetics) aims to graduate professionals with high-quality scientific training who are prepared to practice with the appropriate application of techniques and therapies in Aesthetics, Dermal and Wellness disciplines, based on ethical and scientific foundations. Graduates will be capable of developing and incorporating new technologies and innovations into their professional practice, and contributing to the advancement of the field of Aesthetics.

Graduates will be able to work in the Aesthetic, Health and Wellness and Medi-spa environments. The roles they may undertake include (but not limited to):

Graduate Outcomes:

  • Aesthetic Clinician;
  • Dermal Therapist;
  • Pre and post-operative patient care support (wound healing);
  • Clinic and / or Practice Manager;
  • Paramedical Aesthetician;
  • IPL and Laser Technician;
  • Educator and Industry Trainer.

Entry Requirements

You are eligible to apply for the Bachelor of Health Science (Aesthetics) if you have completed the Diploma of Beauty Therapy or you meet the University’s minimum entry requirements. Torrens University Australia also sets guaranteed entry thresholds for students who have:

  • ATAR 60 or equivalent
  • Studied at another university with a GPA of 3.5 in a scale of 7
  • A Special Tertiary Admission Test (STAT) rank of 155

To gain entry into a course at Torren University Australia, domestic and international applicants must satisfy the University’s English Language Requirements.

Approved English language tests include:

  • IELTS 6.0, with no sub score less than 5.5
  • TOEFL 78
  • PTE 58
  • CAE 57

Course study requirements

It is expected that each subject, whether studied online or on-campus, will involve a combined total of 120 hours of structured and self-directed learning, which equates to approximately 10 hours per week for each subject, over 12-week trimesters.
